Welcome to Unveil

We started Unveil because the tools we wanted to make games with didn’t exist yet. So we’re building them.

Tools first, games second

Most studios build a game and, if they’re lucky, spin a tool out of it years later. We’re doing it the other way around: every tool in our lineup, from Mason to Cartograph, exists because our own games needed it first.

That’s also why we have an internal studio, Jupiter Wave, whose entire job is to make games using nothing but Unveil tooling. If a tool is annoying, slow, or missing a feature, Jupiter Wave hits that wall before any of you do.

What we’ll write about here

This blog is where we’ll post:

  • Release notes for new tools and major updates
  • Behind-the-scenes devlogs from Jupiter Wave’s games
  • Technical breakdowns of how we build our own engine and tooling

If that sounds useful, subscribe to the newsletter or follow us on GitHub.

More soon.
